To keep us on this journey, we’re seeking an enthusiastic HSE professional.

This role is a varied combination of boots on the ground support, safety education, and compliance for our safety & enviro systems and programs across our operations at our commercial brewing facility at Brookvale HQ, 6 hospitality sites, a few brew pubs and more on the way across Australia. You’ll be well supported by an experienced team within 4 Pines and the greater Asahi network.

 

Key Responsibilities:

HSE

  • Drive safety culture and engagement across the business.
  • Assist to ensure compliance with safety legislation.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining safety systems – i.e., Myosh, pre-starts, Take 5s etc.
  • Support the team to identify hazards and assess controls via risk assessments and workplace inspections.
  • Identify training needs of the 4 Pines teams.
  • Develop procedures, policies, and engaging training, to maintain compliance, support change management and ensure continual improvement.
  • Support with contractor management and management of high risk works.
  • Maintain records of training.
  • Assist with communications, new initiatives and reporting to Asahi Beverages.
  • Lead emergency management drills.
  • Deputise for the HSE Manager as required.
  • Facilitate Recovery at Work and Workers Compensation when necessary.

Sustainability

  • Be an ambassador for our Brew Better strategy.
  • Contribute to the delivery of our ambitious emissions reduction plans.
  • Collect and analyse data to assist with emissions monitoring.
  • Assist to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Prepare and implement plans and strategies for the safe, economic, and suitable reduction and disposal of commercial waste.

Community & Culture

  • Assist with community engagement programs.
  • Assist with Community & Culture (human resources) projects, as required.

 

About you!

This role would suit an up and coming HSE professional who likes to think outside the box and make HSE as fun and engaging as possible. As an ideal candidate, you would have some  experience in the FMCG/food & beverage or similar manufacturing industry. Bonus points for Cert IV or higher in WHS and/or Training & Assessment. As a successful candidate you demonstrate:

  • Passion for environmental stewardship.
  • Technical know-how in safety.
  • Consultation, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Process driven and well organised.
  • Some experience in systems/policy development
