After a soft launch a couple of weeks ago, Hip Hop Brewers in Brendale had its full food and beverage offering available from 12 May 2023. The micro-brewery was in development for two years and is a welcome addition to the local industrial area.
The team at Hoppers Brewery announced a pivot in business strategy following a long development process. They have taken over the lease of the former site of Fonzie Abbott Brewery where they had previously contracted. The new Hoppers Crosby Road will open in Albion in June.
YEPP Brewing Co announced that their long awaited American Canning line had finally arrived so they can starting canning their small batches.
In late April, Ten Toes Brewery lodged a development application for a material change of use in a building for a new micro-brewery in North Buderim in a space that was formally an IGA. The application to council states that the existing building will be used to accommodate a brewery that will produce less than 200 tonnes of beer per annum, with ancillary bottling/packing and storage of brewed beer on the premises. The application notes that there will be an associated Food and Drink venue.
After a number of set backs, Currumbin Valley Brewing have announced on social media that their production brewery and taproom is finally under construction in Currumbin Waters. Opening date to be announced later in 2023.
Brick Lane Brewing Co announced this week that its long awaited venue opposite the Queen Victoria Market has opened. Described as providing market-sourced eats, local wines, delicious cocktails and fresh Brick Lane beer straight from the Brewery.
Buller Road Brewery opened its new brewpub in Mansfied, Victoria in mid April.
Smiley Brewing in, Packenham, provided another updated on social media announcing “the last tank was craned into position, our equipment is readily awaiting a gas connection due next week, from there it won’t be far until beer in the tanks!”
Paddles Brewing Company held the official opening of its Brewpub on the 11th of May which they describe as a microbrewery with a the finest beer in Cardiff.
Thirsty Messiah Brewery opened their doors to the public on 29 April in Broadmeadow, Newcastle after finally receiving their occupancy certificate.
Banga Beer have launched in Inner West, NSW and describe themselves as “A bunch of muso’s, audio freaks, and lighting bandits who jumped into the brewing scene when the fun police shut everything down a few years ago. We love beer, but we’re missing live music. So now we make Banga’s for Banga’s.” According to their social media they are brewing out of Frenchie’s Brewery with plans to sell to local music venues.
Black Hops have announced a pop up at the M | Arts precinct in Murwillumbah.
Six String Brewing Co who celebrated their 10th birthday in 2023, have shared progress on their new brewery showing that building works had started and anticipate moving sometime in 2023.
Black Wattle Brewery Pty Ltd submitted a development application in mid April for a change of use to a mixed use development property in Alexandria, NSW. The venue will comprise an artisan food and drink industry (brewery) and food and drink premises (pub) with associated alterations and internal fit out.
