Reemerging into the world of the arts, Newtown brewers and distillers, Young Henrys, are turning up the volume at the Albion Hotel this Sydney Fringe Festival for their next instalment of Best Served Loud. With an exceptional selection of comedy, arts and music on show throughout September, Young Henrys are taking over the soundwaves on Saturday, September 16 for a one-night-only, specially curated night in Western Sydney, in collaboration with One Day Entertainment and the City of Parramatta.

Leading charge for the mini-fest is Kamilaroi-Samoan singer-songwriter, Becca Hatch. Breaking out with tracks like “2560”, “Please U” and more recently collaborating with Club Angel for “Ride For Me”, the South-Sydney artist has steadily been flexing her honey vocals across the local music scene and has gone on to lead her first ever headline show in Sydney’s esteemed Opera House in 2023. Dubbed as an integral figure in the rebirth of Australian R&B, Becca will step into the Albion Hotel ready to sway music lovers with her magnetic stage presence this September.

Next up on the Best Served Loud billing is the enigmatic, and (un)certified baddie, Vv Pete. Taking the local hip-hop scene by storm in 2023 with hits like “Frauds” and “Jordan1s”, Vv Pete has enjoyed an upwards trajectory, going on to support major international acts Denzel Curry, Jay1 and more. Her sultry swag will be treating you hip-hop fans with the energy and hard-hitting cadence that has earned her praise from the likes of Acclaim, as well as FBi Radio’s “Next Big Thing” and will surely not be one to miss this spring.

Bulking up the Young Henrys lineup in the beloved Parramatta venue is Blacktown rapper and producer Isaac Puerile. Off the back of earning a place in Acclaim’s 2023 All-Star roster, and being handpicked as Flume’s #FlumeUnfinished competition this year, Isaac Puerile has the local rap scene in his palm. A rising star with a knack for pushing boundaries throughout his 2022 EP “i hate you too” and tracks like “twofa’” and “PARANOID”, don’t miss your chance to see one of Australia’s brightest prospects when he touches down on the Best Served Loud stage this September.

Rounding off the Sydney Fringe Festival, self-proclaimed “next Aussie icon” Sollyy, will hit the stage with the ferocity and sonic prowess which has catapulted him into the underground spotlight. Establishing himself as Sydney’s go-to producer after his 2022 collab album OPPBOYZ with Dxvndre, as well as countless collaborations across Australia and New Zealand’s emerging hip-hop scene, Sollyy is a local hitter to keep an eye on.

Hosting Best Served Loud’s hip-hop energy is Del, presenter of FBi Radio’s The Snacc Pacc who has been platforming the resurgence of Western Sydney music, arts & culture, and beyond. Keeping the party going is local multi-disciplinary DJ Slays who will be landing on the decks, spinning tunes as cold brews pour into the evening. Embracing the vibrant culture of Sydney’s Western Suburbs, Young Henrys have enlisted the very best with good mates over One Day Entertainment, an artist-led and community-powered hip-hop collective that champions emerging and established artists from all around the country.
