Tiny Mountain Brewery is preparing for a big night on Wednesday with the State of Origin game in Townsville. The team has created a new craft brew, the ‘4 Point’ Pale Ale and will be donating proceeds from this limited edition to Rural Aid.

Head Brewer David Mullins described the new craft beer to us,“This is a classic session pale ale, at 4%, the ‘4 Point’ Pale Ale, will be an easy-drinking perfect midweek beer, with a little bit of bitterness, a resinous hop profile while also citrussy & tropical, along with a light, dry finish. We think it’s going to be popular.

“If you are a rugby league fan, you will know that 4 points are awarded for a try, so with it being a 4% beer, the name works well,” said Mr Mullins.

Located a short walk from the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, the Tiny Mountain team is excited about the night and plans to extend its footprint. Hospitality Manager Tim Bennie explains.

“The atmosphere in Townsville is electric at the moment, we are very fortunate that Townsville was chosen to host the game, and we are very excited, said Mr Bennie.

“We will be extending our beer garden into the car park, adding more picnic tables, a pop-up bar, additional food offerings, and the atmosphere will be fantastic.

“Townsville and North Queensland have been through a lot of adversity in recent years, and we wanted to use this opportunity to give back to our community. That is why this week, all proceeds sold on our limited release beer,The ‘4 Point’ Pale Ale, will be donated to Rural Aid, which is very relevant for us in this region. They provide critical support including water, fodder, financial and counselling assistance to help farmers who endure drought, flood and fire,” said Mr Bennie.
