The Queensland Homebrewing Conference 2013
After great success in 2011, the Queensland Homebrewing Conference is back in 2013!
It is on the 13th July, kicking off the 2013 Queensland Beer Week celebrations. We will once again be holding it at the Southbank Institute of Technology and we can promise you that it’s going to be even bigger and better than last time. With the involvement of Queensland’s seven major homebrew clubs and an array of high calibre speakers (We can’t tell you the main speakers yet, but we are planning on two of Australia’s top brewers presenting on the day) we are expecting to exceed 2011’s success.
As well as the big names, you can also expect some great presentations, such as using professional grade brewing equipment, minimising oxygenation in your beer, brewing with adjuncts and barrels, beer tasting and judging, and making a good tasting low-alcohol beer. There will even be some smaller break away groups like a presentation from Reidel Glasses, Mashing for Whiskey and Beer Tasting – How to do it & explain it. PLUS there will be some 2011 favourites like Club Wars, plenty of beer and the conference Beer and Food matching dinner!
This is a conference for beginners right through to serious brewers with plenty of beer to taste on the way. And all followed by the Beer and Food matching dinner with beers from some of Queensland’s top home brewers. Stay tuned for more details.
