Stone & Wood has released the 2018 edition of its summer seasonal, The Gatherer.

The Gatherer’s recipe is brewed with different seasonal ingredients each year, inspired by brewing ancestors who would often experiment with locally sourced produce in their beer.

Last year’s debut wasan American Wheat Beer featuring Helga hops alongside cucumber, mint and watermelon.

The 2018 release is a similar base style, dry hopped with Galaxy and featuring several new additions.

“The Gatherer has zesty ripe fruit aromas and a fresh tartness from the addition of sour cherries, native Northern Rivers finger limes and river mint,” Stone & Wood said.

“The pinkish hue, hinting at its subtle sweetness is balanced with malt and wheat, finishing smooth and dry.”
