Temple Brewing releasing Double IPA
Brunswick East’s Temple Brewing Company will release its first ever Double IPA this year on December 12, 2015.
Our aim with this beer is to showcase the very best ingredients that our amazing suppliers can source and to let our head brewer Glenn Harrison and his brew team, Anders Norman & Aaron Schultz throw everything they’ve got into one batch of delicious, hoppy salvation that we put out, once every 12 months.
Temple makes beers true to style, with passion and dedication to craftsmanship, so we thought the best way to show our friends and supporters what we’re truly capable of was to make a bigger version of one of our most popular beers to date.
Off the back of ‘Anytime’, our always appropriate, always available 4.7% Session IPA (Awarded AIBA Trophy: ‘Best International Pale Ale’ 2015) we introduce ‘Onetime’, our first ever Double IPA, so big that’s it’s onlyappropriate and only available ‘Onetime’ a year.
Tasting notes:
Onetime offers sweet, upfront aromas of fresh Passion fruit, Mandarin and green Pineapple giving way to a full piney note delivered by the Simcoe hop, followed by a deep fleshy fruit profile of Mango and Orange.
Flavours of freshly cut grass with an underlining earthy base, gives you a massive, resiny hop hit with every mouthful that’s balanced and pronounced, that will keep you going back for more!
Hops: Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic, Simcoe, Amarillo
ABV: 7.8%
IBU: 90
This year’s release will be available in 50ltr steel kegs, and only available in Victoria.
Our aim for next year is to widen the ‘Onetime’ distribution and all things willing, introduce a large bottle format into the mix.
The beer will be on tap at 122 Weston St, Brunswick East from 12pm on the 12/12/15, and a list of supporting venues will be released closer to the date.
