Two years in operation, Southern Highlands Brewing Company has opened a taphouse in the NSW town of Moss Vale.

The 150-capacity venue features large tables for a casual, beer hall-style environment, with a separate dining area.

Co-founder and head brewer Cameron James told Brews News he has always had the idea of the taphouse in the back of his mind.

“We wanted a single place where we could showcase all our beers, put out our seasonals and have some fun with our brewing,” he said.

Southern Highlands, which has quadrupled its brewing capacity in the last two years, will have eight taps pouring its own beers alongside a few guest taps.

Located seven kilometres from the brewery, the taphouse offers a food menu comprised of Australian, Asian and French cuisine that has been specially designed by chef Michael Morrison with the Southern Highlands beers in mind.

“We’re really focused on our beer and food matching, like the wine industry has been doing forever,” said James.

“The locals have been really supportive, the feedback we’re getting is fantastic, and everyone genuinely likes the experience.”

Southern Highlands Brewing Company Taphouse can be found at 490-494 Argyle st, Moss Vale, NSW, 2577.
