Something different is Brewski-ing this Valentine's Day

Chocolates, flowers, lingerie… who needs the usual over-hyped Valentine’s Day clichés this Friday 14 February, when you could instead be gazing into the eyes of the one you love over a pint of love-inspired beer?

Caxton Street craft beer newbie, Brewski, have chosen to ditch violins and roses this Valentine’s Day and instead are encouraging couples, friends and groups to say “we heart beer” with four love-inspired beers produced by local craft brewer, Bacchus Brewing Co.

If you thought champagne was the drink of love, think again with a schooner of Atomic Cherry (a sour cherry beer), White Chocolate Passionfruit Pilsner, The French Tickler (a hoppy Saison) or a Black Heart (a bitter chocolate porter) romancing your tastebuds.

“Even the most hardened Ned-Kelly-beard-sporting craft beer nerd is bit of a softie inside,” said Brewski owner, Matt Emmerson.

“So we thought we’d give them the opportunity to share their love of beer with the one they love this Valentine’s Day.”

Brewski’s signature $10 ‘Proper Pizzas’ will also be available all day, including the chocolate and marshmallow ‘Nutella nutter’ dessert pizza for those who think Valentine’s day still deserves a touch of the sweet stuff.

Brewski’s We heart beer event will run from 12noon on Valentine’s Day until late.
