SEA Brew latest COVID casualty
SEA Brew, South East Asia’s brewing conference and trade show, is the latest brewing event to be cancelled for 2020 due to the impact of COVID.
Orginally scheduled for 29-30 October in Taiwan, the organisers have advised that plans are already underway to host SEA Brew 2021 in Taipei, on 4-5 November at the same venue, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre.
As with many similar events, this year’s conference will instead be virtual with a series of online technical sessions and discussion groups to be held.
More information on the program for the virtual conference can be found on the SEA Brew website.
It has been a difficult year for beer events, with the US Brewers Association moving quickly at the start of the emerging COVID pandemic to cancel its event. The Independent Brewers Association initially postponed and moved its BrewCon event before cancelling the event in the face of continuing lockdowns and uncertainty. The associated Indies beer awards are continuing.
