Sam Fuss joins the crew at Young Henry's
We here at Brews News receive many media releases and it is always a pleasure when we get to announce the appointment to a new position of one of the Beer Community’s nicest people. Sam Fuss has been brewing fine beer for the past 13 years, first at Little Creatures in Fremantle before stints at The Gunn Island Brew Bar and then Matilda Bay, Schwartz Brewery in Sydney and back to Melbourne to open True South. From there she went it alone as a self-styled ‘Walkabout’ brewer crafting beers under her own Old Salt label.
As well as her solo and company efforts she has been instumental in producing three annual brews for the Women of Beer collective and, in doing so, has raised the profile of women in the brewing pursuits. She has also been a great supporter of what we do here at Brews News and an even greater support and inspiration to me personally – probably more than she realises.
This new venture puts her back where she arguably belongs, and the matching of her true Bohemian spirit should create a perfect fit for the artisan, true-to-its-roots philosophy espoused by the Young Henry’s team. Back also on something of a ‘home turf’ Sam will fit straight into a role of ensuring the first seminal years of the YH journey are carried on seamlessly. {PM}
