Despite the title, we’re getting kind of regular here at Radio Brews News. Once again Matt is not joined by usual co-host Pete Mitcham. Pete’s on a family holiday in Europe. We will try and touch base with him at some stage to find out about his trip and get an update on what he’s been drinking over there. You can follow Pete’s travels on Twitter. We do however have Kevin Hingston, Communications and Media spokesperson with the 2014 Australian National Homebrewing Conference Committee to find out about what’s happening with this year’s ANHC. Find out more about the Australian National Homebrew Competition on their website. We highly recommend the conference for all homebrewers.
Following on from that we will be playing an interview Matt recorded late last year with Keith Villa, head brewer with Blue Moon Brewing Company, the craft brewing arms of US brewing giant MillerCoors. Blue Moon Belgian White has recently been introduced to Australian through MillerCoors partnership with Coca Cola Amatil. The interview didn’t go out while the podcast was on one of its many hiatuses, but as CCA currently ramp up their marketing for Blue Moon, it’s a timely one to play now. The content is still relevant. It’s an interesting discussion that includes David Coors, part of the fifth generation of the Coors brewing dynasty, outlining his views of the contemporary beer market.
A full transcript of the interview is available here.
Don’t forget your chance to win a return trip to Wellington for Beervana, with accommodation and tickets and some other cool stuff thrown in. Just complete the crossword puzzle right (or download a .PDF version here) and head on over to WellingtonNZ.com and complete the entry.
