Funk Cider has today announced a new sales and distribution deal with Myaree-based Otherside BrewingCo, commencing February 1, 2023. The partnership will see Funk Cider’s products managed through the Otherside sales team, in addition to their beer range.

Justin Wiebrecht, Sales Manager at Funk Cider said “We are thrilled to join forces with Otherside Brewing and spread the Funk further out into the world. We are two local craft businesses with plenty of synergy in our values and the endless pursuit of flavour, and it made sense to work collaboratively to share our products with West Australians.”

Chris Webster, Sales Director at Otherside Brewing added “It’s a great time for two like-minded businesses to come together and bring a mix of complementary products to the WA market.”

Established in 2016, Funk is celebrated for their creative, preservative-free cider releases, featuring fruit infusions, barrel ageing, and experimental yeasts. They currently operate two locations in the Greater Perth region, including venues in Caversham and the Swan Valley.

Otherside Brewing Co is one of WA’s fastest-growing breweries, and was recently named both ‘Champion Brewery of the Year’ at the Perth Royal Beer Awards and ‘Champion WA Brewery’ at the 2022 Independent Beer Awards. Otherside is a subsidiary of WA hospitality group Triple-1-Three alongside live music venues Freo.Social and Mojos.
