New Beers Wrap
Unicorn Tears XPA | Young Henrys and The Dead Love
To celebrate the launch of The Dead Love’s new album and tour, Young Henrys has teamed up with the band to brew the Unicorn Tears XPA.
The beer was launched at the Young Henrys’ tasting bar last night and will be available at select music venues in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
The Young Henrys team said it is “a bright and sessionable XPA with a moderate bitterness and a nicely complex citrusy/pineapple hop aroma”.
XXXPA | Wolf of the Willows
Wolf of the Willows’ latest release is a “hoppy celebration of five years of XPA”.
The XXXPA is triple hopped with Mosaic, Galaxy, Kahatu and Nelson Sauvin.
This brew comes in at 9.2% abv, and Wolf of the Willows says it has notes of “passionfruit, citrus, and tropical notes with a light malt backbone”.
Limited pre-orders for 30L and 50L kegs or cartons of 16x440ml cans are available now.
The Art Series | Newstead Brewing Co
Newstead Brewing Co has announced the first edition to The Art Series, in collaboration with artist Sodamouf.
The 2.2% abv brew will be available from 6pm on Friday 8th November.
Alongside the brew release, Sodamouf will be showcasing his art exhibit, with pieces available for the public to purchase.
Newstead say the brew is ‘sherberty’, sweet and fizzy “with natural hibiscus colouring to give it a slight pink hue which reflects Sodamouf’s artwork”.
South Island Sour | Bad Shepherd Brewing Co
Bad Shepherd Brewing Co have released their newest brew, a Sour IPA.
The South Island Sour Session IPA features three bold, citrusy and tropical New Zealand hop varieties Riwaka, Motueka and Taiheke.
Bad Shepherd say the brew is kettle-soured but balanced with the sweetness of malt and lactose. “It’s truly sessionable with a rounded creamy mouthfeel and summery hints of passionfruit and grapefruit”, the brewers said.
It is currently hitting the taps at brewpubs around Australia.
Mosaic IPA | Akasha Brewing Company
Akasha Brewing Company has welcomed the 7.2% abv Mosaic IPA to their core range.
The brew was a favourite in Akasha’s limited release range and the brewery said it was sold out quickly after release.

Passionista | Wayward Brewing Co
Wayward Brewing Co has re-released Passionista, a passionfruit and yuzu Berliner Weisse.
The limited release brew was first launched last year in December and will return to bottle shops this year for a limited time from November 13th.
Wayward said the brew has the same sour ale base as its raspberry Berliner Weisse, but “this light, tart wheat beer gets it’s flavour from the potent pairing of bright, tropical passionfruit and the clean citrus punch of yuzu”.
