Matilda Bay dude food dinner at Hare and Grace

Matilda Bay Brewing Company, Australia’s original craft brewer, is hosting a beer and food matching experience with a lip-smacking six-course menu designed by Raymond Capaldi and Adam Liston, perfectly matched with six Matilda Bay favourites, including Fat Yak and Dirty Granny, for only $100pp.

The guys from Matilda Bay will be hosting the night, teaching thirsty and hungry punters about the three Cs of beer and food matching – complement, contrast and cleanse, all important when deciding which beer to match with what foods. There will also be restaurant vouchers and six packs of the various Matilda Bay beers to be won on the night.

With a serious dude food slant, the menu takes in dishes like pork fat nachos with chilli, sour cream and cheese ketchup matched to Bohemian Pilsner, and a delicious chocolate, wasabi, and rosewater dessert paired to the Dogbolter Dark Lager.

With Matilda Bay well-known for re-interpreting and experimenting with the great beer styles of the world, the range is ideal for beer and food matching, boasting a variety of styles and flavours that can be paired to a wide range of cuisines, both sweet and savoury.
