A collection of Brisbane and Kingscliff based pubs will tap ‘Karma Kegs’, of which one-hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Salvation Army’s Disaster Appeal aiding the bushfire relief.
The Disaster Appeal will be utilized by the Salvation Army to help beyond the current support of evacuees and emergency personnel and towards the ongoing effort through recovery and rebuilding phases.
Beyond the danger zone, the devastation of the bushfires has been felt by all. The communities of which these pubs call home being no exception; it was the shared desire to help that sparked action.
Paired with a love for hospitality and its ability to unite, the Karma Keg initiative was born. The four locations – Mango Hill Tavern, Salt Bar & Bistro, Buffalo Bar and Darling & Co. each volunteering two ‘Karma Kegs’ of XXXX Gold for the initiative, hoping this appeal will offer patrons an opportunity to give back and contribute over a cold one.
The price of this feel-good fare will be left in the patron’s hands. Welcomed to determine the price of their pint from the Karma Keg, no contribution to the cause to small or too great – instead, the focus remains on empowering the community to aid in the relief.
