Even before Melbourne’s Good Beer Week was a barley grain waiting to burst forth, WA Beer week had established itself as one the premier events on the Australian beer calendar. Incorporating the Perth Royal Beer Show and numerous events across the state, it is running again from June 17 – 26, 2011.

With more than 30 Microbreweries operating in Western Australia, the state is well placed to stage a substantial week of events. Judging by the number of trophies that headed that way in the recent Australian International Beer Awards, the beers are certainly worth celebrating.
