Beer lovers rejoice! The Cairns Craft Beer Festival is back and bigger in 2023 with a frothing good line up of North Queensland’s new and established craft breweries and artisan ales along with delicious pub grub and lively entertainment from 12 noon until late, Saturday 6 May.
Now in its fourth year, Cairns Craft Beer Festival is a popular and established event on the region’s calendar, attracting beer lovers from near and far to celebrate the region’s craft brewing all-stars that include newcomer Maggie Island Brewing along with favourites, Macalister Brewing Co, Coral Sea Brewing Co, Barrier Reef Brewing Co, first timer, Billycart Brewing Co, and festival host, Hemingway’s Brewery.
Headlining the live and local music bill on the day will be entertainment from Dave Cooke, The Joker Pokers, Andre, Dr Albert and the Malarias while a range of food stalls showcasing local produce will keep the energy flowing. Added to the mix are mini games for the whole family, a Tinnie Slide challenge between participating 2 brewers and great prizes to be won including a reef trip with Downunder Cruise and Dive.
Cairns Craft Beer Festival organiser and Hemingway’s Brewery’s Head of Hospitality, Roman Haslinger said craft beer, hand-made using a special blend of hops and yeast to achieve distinct and diverse flavour profiles relies on a good deal of ingenuity and flair.
“Craft brewers are passionate about their art and the purity of local ingredients and therefore and the product, therefore, speaks for itself, delivering the ultimate sense of place and enjoyment. It is these elements, when combined, that create the perfect platform for a festival showcase and celebration,” Mr Haslinger said.
Family friendly and free to enter, the fourth annual Cairns Craft Beer Festival is on Saturday 6 May 2023 from 12 noon at Hemingway’s Brewery, Wharf Street, Cairns.
