Triple-1-Three, parent company of Otherside Brewing Co., Freo.Social, Otherside Brewhouse, Nomads and Beer.Kitchen, announced today it has appointed Bruce Fielding to its board of directors.
Joining the Board as an independent, non-executive director, Mr Fielding’s appointment expands the Western Australian hospitality and brewing group’s Board to five directors.
Confirming the announcement, Triple-1-Three CEO and director, Al Taylor said: “We are pleased to welcome Bruce as new independent director to the Triple-1-Three Board.
“An accomplished business leader and experienced board member, Bruce also understands the craft brewing sector having led the evolution of Pirate Life Brewing from start-up to one of the most successful craft brewers in Australia.
“He joins Triple-1-Three at an exciting time. In the last 12 months our brewing arm Otherside Brewing Co. has experienced exponential growth, doubling its brewing capacity and achieving revenue growth in excess of 125 per cent. It is now one of Western Australia’s largest independent craft breweries.
“In 2019, we launched a new multi-million dollar, entertainment venue and brewpub – Freo.Social. In just nine months it has cemented itself as a highly popular destination and is experiencing significant revenue growth.
“Bruce’s expertise complements the skills and experience of our other board members and we are confident we have the right collective of talent, providing valuable input and insights, as we execute our business strategy, build deeper relationships with our customers and deliver value for our shareholders.” Mr Taylor added.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Fielding said: “Triple-1-Three is unlike most craft brewers in that it has a bigger social mission around social and cultural amplification.
“This is a great platform on which to build an innovative craft beer brand as well as develop its venues and venue partners through activation. The worlds of craft beer and entertainment are both crowded places but there is always room for genuinely innovative, quality brands to grow, prosper and make their mark. I believe that this is what Triple-1-Three is all about and I’m extremely excited to be part of that.” Mr Fielding said.
Mr Fielding has served in various leadership roles during his 35-year career including founding director and shareholder of Pirate Life where he facilitated its successful sale to the world’s largest brewer, AB InBev as well as managing director of Nexia Perth for 13 years.
In addition, he is a director of AFSL licensee IndiPac Securities Pty Ltd, private hospital Western Haematology and Oncology Clinic Pty Ltd and Meenangu Wajarri Aboriginal Corporation, as well as medical research foundation the Perth Blood Institute Ltd. He currently runs his own advisory business consulting to businesses in the mining, transport, IT, financial services and property investment sectors.
Triple-1-Three board members include Al Taylor, Chief Executive Officer; David Chitty. Director, Commercial and Creative Development; James Legge, Director, CFO/COO; as well as external director and Board Chairperson, Adam Levin.
