Following on from its recent launch, B2B ordering and payments disruptor Kaddy has announced the appointment of former Australian Liquor Marketers executive Nathan Miller as Sales Director.
Kaddy co-founder Mike Abbott says the company is excited about the national wholesale liquor experience Nathan brings and how it will help shape the growth of Kaddy’s wholesale reach. “We are thrilled to welcome Nathan to the Kaddy team. Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge with over 18 years experience in the liquor industry across multiple markets. We see huge potential across liquor retail for the Kaddy platform and Nathan will help us drive this strategy together with our on-premise growth plans”.
Most recently, Nathan managed Australia’s largest broad range wholesale liquor business which supplied over 12,000 customers including the retail network of Independent Brands Australia (IBA). Nathan says the opportunity to roll out Kaddy across the retail landscape is “massive”, with the rapid growth in numbers of craft producers across the country making it difficult for retailers to manage, as they deal with multiple distribution channels.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining the team at Kaddy. Together with Mike and Rich we will be building what the industry needs; a platform that can streamline ordering and payments for customers, as well as providing suppliers with the tools they require to efficiently run their sales function.”
The Kaddy team has a unique combination of liquor industry experience as well as large scale technology and operations experience, which will underpin its plans to roll out their technology to 2,000 venues over the next 12 months. Miller’s hire complements the tech talent brought in to date.
“Our team is first class and spearheaded by very experienced software engineers. We have had experience in rolling out Walmart’s digital point of sale transaction team in the US, so we’re building a tech infrastructure with a similar growth mindset.”
