Extending their brand away from the fairway and onto the brewery floor, international golf company TaylorMade has teamed up with local craft brewery, Colonial Brewing Co, creating an exclusive, limited-edition lager.

The perfect brew for golf-loving beer drinkers, TaylorMade x CBCo, scores a hole in one as an ultra sessionable lager, brewed with Australian pale and crystal malt for a simple light coloured base with a hint of bready malt.

Featuring classic German hop varieties this addition injects a herbal note, as well as light bitterness to balance out the cold fermented lager for a refreshing, light and balanced finish.

With the global pandemic encouraging a new approach for brands everywhere, Aaron O’Meara – Product & Marketing Manager of TaylorMade Golf, said the collaboration was born from a common desire to remain out of the bunker and accessible to their customers during a time of such uncertainty for all.

“Since the pandemic hit Australia in early 2020, there has been significant growth in the number of people playing golf with the golf course being one of the only places that allow people to remain active and socially distanced, while still safely connecting with friends across the fairway.

“However, with the 19th hole is officially out-of-bounds, we wanted to find a way to offer our golfers a similar experience at home, which is where Colonial Brewing Co came in.” Pros in their field, the two teams worked together with formulating the concept, with Colonial Brewing Co brewers finding a flavour combination that would best suit an afternoon or a night in after a day on the greens.
