BRICK LANE BREWING’S REVOLVER DARK HOPPY AWARDED WORLD’S BEST PORTER
Brick Lane Brewing has continued their success at beer awards around the world with their seasonal release, Revolver Dark Hoppy Ale, recognised as the World’s Best Porter at the World Beer Awards.
Revolver Dark Hoppy Ale is one of Brick Lane’s most loved and anticipated seasonal releases. A midnight black beer with restrained roasty characters and a velvety body, this dark beer bursts with unexpected bright hop aromas of candied pineapple, peach, pine resin and some hoppy floral notes.
“This is an incredible recognition for our brewing team and the dedication they consistently show to our beers. Revolver is a particular staff favourite and something we really look forward to brewing each winter. To have this recognised at the World Beer Awards is really something special” said Brick Lane head brewer Jon Seltin.
The notes from the judges called out the lovely pour with off white head and praised the flavours of toasted chocolate, espresso martini and the slightly spicy/bitter finish, along with the velvety body and luscious medium light finish.
“Quality underpins everything we do at Brick Lane” says Paul Bowker, CEO and Founder of Brick Lane Brewing. “We have built a world class brewery from scratch and surrounded ourselves with a community of extraordinarily talented brewers. Our biggest thrill is seeing people enjoying our beers and knowing the effort that has gone into each drop from our local Victorian barley growers and maltsters through to some of the best hop growers in the country. We absolutely love that Revolver has not only been a tremendous success in introducing people to the beauty of porters but is now also crowned the World’s Best.”
This follows their One Love Pale Ale and Red Hoppy Ale also progressing to the World round of judging after winning the Country Winner in their respective categories last month.
Like brick laneways around the world, Brick Lane Brewery has been bringing people together through inclusivity and diversity, sustainability, and innovation. Their portfolio of beers span sparkling clean lagers, through to new world pale ales and into decadent barrel aged stouts. Brick Lane has a philosophy of welcoming more people into the world of beer by producing consistently amazing beers for all tastes.
Proudly independent, Brick Lane is at the forefront of craft brewing, having created a community where lovers and makers of great beers can unite, from a state-of-the-art brewery designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, with a range of Australian firsts using world-leading technologies and equipment.
