BentSpoke launches third core beer
BentSpoke Brewing Co is thrilled to announce the launch of their latest packaged beer, Mort’s Gold.
Mort’s Gold is a clean and crisp lager, sure to go down well at BBQs through the summer and any other occasion where an easy-drinking beer is called for.
Mort’s has been a continuous presence at BentSpoke’s Braddon brewpub since it opened in June 2014 offering an accessible introduction to the world of craft beer.
The beer is named for Mort St, the street address for BentSpoke in Braddon, which in turn is named for Sir Thomas Sutcliffe Mort (1816-1878) a pioneer of the Australian refrigerated meat and ice industries.
Who better to name a great BBQ beer after than the man who built the world’s first ice works, at Darling Harbour?
BentSpoke co-owner and head brewer Richard Watkins says the beer is a welcome addition to the lineup as we head into summer and Christmas.
“Australian’s love a good lager and I’m confident they’re going to take to these bright yellow cans this festive season,” Richard said.
“It’s the third entry to our core range and the fifth packaged beer we’ve produced in slightly over a year putting our beer into cans.”
Mort’s Gold will be available in good liquor stores from the start of December. The public is encouraged to come try it in Civic at the Burgers, BBQ & Beers markets on City Walk, 1 December 2017 from 5pm.
