Last night at the National Arboretum the ACT Australian Hotels & Accommodation Association Awards for Excellence were held. Representing Hotels and Accommodation venues from across the ACT, more than 300 people attended with nominations received from over 100 venues. Opened by Chief Minister Andrew Barr, the night recognised the achievements of the innovative and dynamic hospitality industry in the ACT.

The BentSpoke BrewPub was a finalist in Chef of The Year, (Jodie Johnson), Employee Excellence in Service (Simon Buchanan, Abbey McLeod and Jed Davis), Best Draught Beer Quality, Best Traditional Pub, and finalist in the “Experience” categories; Best Pub Eatery, Best Burger, Best Steak, and Best WHS venue.

BentSpoke was thrilled to win Best Traditional Pub, Inn or Tavern, Best Draught Beer Quality (alongside ANU’s Badger & Co) and Employee Excellence in Service for Simon Buchanan.

These awards are judged by independent mystery shop visits, written submissions, and formal interviews.
