BeerCo Pty Ltd is proud to announce its Distribution Partnership with Crisp Malting Group, with immediate availability of Crisp malts to Australian craft brewers and distillers from their Keilor East warehouse in Victoria.
“BeerCo’s mission statement is to rid the world of beer poverty one good brew at a time, by giving brewers the opportunity to brew with the best brewing materials, aids and equipment possible,”Managing Director at BeerCo Dermott Dowling explained.
“Crisp are a perfect fit for us with over 148 years of malting experience and expertise and are the largest independent maltster in the United Kingdom. We are proud to introduce yet another high quality new raw material to brewers down under.”
“Crisp malts are made with selected barley from premier growing areas on the best malting barley farms in the UK. All of their malts are scientifically tested and monitored to deliver quality and consistency. Innovation is at the forefront at Crisp as they continue to invest and improve facilities and extend their premium malt range.”
“Crisp’s quality and diversity is recognised by top-tier craft brewers and distillers in Japan the United States and of course, the UK and Europe. We look forward to bringing these great malts to Craft Brewers and Distillers in Australia.”
Crisp strongly believe in offering award winning customer service and building long-term relationships with brewers and distillers all over the world.
“Brewers in Australia may already be familiar with our world renowned Crisp No. 19 Floor Malted Maris Otter®,” Export Distribution Manager from Crisp Luke Bennett said.
“The traditional method of malting on our No.19 floor Malthouse brings out distinctive and intense flavours and character from the Maris Otter®. The Maris Otter selected by Crisp is from the finest farms in East Anglia.”
“We have also recently re-introduced Chevallier Malt back into the brewing world. It was widely used in brewing during the 1800s and early 1900s. It dominated the English crop for 60 years by winning numerous beer awards at British brewing exhibitions. In the US, Goose Island has made an English Dark Mild with Chevallier Malt and Sierra Nevada use Chevallier Malt in their English Style ESB.”
“Crisp actively innovate and respond to our consumer needs, so in addition to these malts we have trade marked a type of proanthocyanidin-free malt called Clear Choice™. This malt has a deliciously sweet malty taste that complements other flavours well. The proanthocyanidin-free characteristic means it does not contain any polyphenols so it can be used to avoid haze formation and increase beer stability and shelf life in the bottle.”
The agreement with BeerCo and Crisp will not only improve the supply chain for delivering the finest British malts into Australia, but will also provide a platform for Crisp to offer the same level of exceptional service, which has made them so successful around the world, through BeerCo.
BeerCo and Crisp are proudly independent businesses and we both look forward to serving independent brewers and distillers together in Australia to help them continue to brew and distill great beer and spirits.
Crisp malts are available for immediate order and delivery to Australian craft brewers and distillers. From 1 October 2018, Crisp will be available to all BeerCo Pty Ltd homebrew retail partners and direct to homebrewer orders online.
