Australia's best beers: Voting Opens
Voting has opened for the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers poll, the largest and most influential people’s choice poll in the land.
Always newsworthy, ever controversial and damn good fun, the poll lets every beer drinker vote for their top five Australian craft beers brewed during the year 2016.
The GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers started out back in 2008 as a bit of fun for staff and customers at The Local Taphouse beer bars in Melbourne and Sydney. Now run by the GABS Beer, Cider & Food Festival, and proudly supported by The Local Taphouse, Australian Brews News, the Crafty Pint and Dan Murphy’s, the poll attracts thousands of beer fans from around the country who vote for their five favourite Australian craft beers of the year and then enjoy the countdown on Australia Day.
While on one hand the poll results are a bit of fun to watch on Australia Day as they are counted down, and fodder for many a discussion over a great Australian beer, the results are still keenly anticipated by industry. Last year Pirate Life Brewing reportedthat they experienced a staggering spike in interest in their beers afterthey stormed the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers of 2015 on Australia Day, just 10 months after opening.
Don’t miss this opportunity to vote for your favourite beers, and support the creativity and innovation in today’s craft beer industry. In addition to the Hottest 100, we’ll also announce the Hottest New Beers and Hottest Indie Beers of 2016.Vote Now.
