Hop Products Australia invites brewers and beer lovers around the world to be part of their virtual hop harvest.
Hop Products Australia (HPA), the country’s leading hop grower and creator of world-famous Galaxy® hops, are gearing up for another harvest, and the crop is coming along nicely. The growing regions are looking good and green, with the warm weather bringing on a promising amount of burr in recent weeks.
Normally they would also be looking forward to welcoming brewers on farm so they can share in the hustle, bustle, and heady aromas of hop harvest. Unfortunately, the past year has been anything but normal, so HPA will be keeping their farms closed to anyone non-essential to protect the health of their team and ensure the farms remain COVID-free and fully operational.
It’s been a rough year for the brewing industry, and HPA want to show their support by inviting brewers and beer lovers around the world to be part of a virtual hop harvest from the comfort and safety of their own home. They’re excited to offer everyone the opportunity to get to know HPA and the team behind their hops.
The experience will include tours of their farms and breeding facilities, technical advice on brewing with green hops and maximising hop flavour in beer, insights into their no-nonsense approach to quality and sustainability, tourism recommendations for when you’re able to visit their growing regions, and the chance to connect and learn from fellow brewers.
HPA are proud of their collaborative relationships with brewers, and will feature them heavily throughout the event, including appearances from legends of the US, UK, New Zealand and Australian brewing scenes.
There will be something for everyone among the free sessions that are scheduled over the month of March, with the option to attend sessions live and participate in the real-time Q&A, or view recordings retrospectively to accommodate a global audience.
