True South's brewery moves out
Black Rock, Victoria: True South brewery, restaurant and functions venue has announced it will cease on-site brewing operations in Black Rock, effective today. True South has been brewing its craft beer and cider on-site since commencement of operations in December 2009.
Grant Dow, founder of True South commented, “its a big change for us to move the brewery; both our brewing and hospitality operations have thrived in the past few years, having been recognised by our peers in both industries.”
“As a result of our success, there’s competition for additional floor space to increase both production capacity and seating, something which is at a premium on the waterfront in Black Rock.”
True South will continue to supply its complete range of beer and cider, so from a consumer perspective it’s business as usual. The brewery space will be re-purposed into additional dining, with the design paying homage to its origins.
The new brewery areas will be available from 1st September with the option of a Chef’s table available in this more private space.
Our beer and cider will continue to be brewed by Head brewer, Renn Blackman, who has placed his unique style on our range, adding several new beers to the line-up over the past 18 months.
