Nomad Brewing finds a home in Australia
Media Release
Nomad Brewing Co.
“Nomad” a member of a community of people who move from one place to another, a fitting name for a brewery formed by a number of partners who are nomads in the beer community.
This new brewery has started its journey in the Australian craft beer scene, and over the next 6 months you will see the evolution of a combined dream to become an established brewer and an active partner in the development of craft beer in Australia.
Who are Nomads?
We are a collective group of partners who have spent many years wandering the globe in search of, or making great beers. Aussie’s and Italians, a combination of shared passions and complimenting skills that come together to establish a solid brand and to deliver what we hope will be a unique and engaging experience for the Australian drinkers. The Aussie hop heads at ExperienceIT Johnny and Kerrie, have joined forces with Leonardo Di Vincenzo, the master behind Italy’s leading craft brewery, Birra Del Borgo, and Paolo Bertani, to create “Nomad Brewery”.
Nomad is not about Di Vincenzo brewing his Birra Del Borgo beers in Australia. Nomad will have its own identity, own head brewer, and own unique beers that will combine Leo’s sensory experiences of Australia and his wealth of brewing expertise to create beer that are sure to excite the Australian beer drinker.
The journey so far…
Our journey started many months ago when an “off the cuff” comment turned into a real idea. Leo’s new-found love for Australia and our combined desire to become involved in the emerging craft beer scene turned these comments into reality.
Reality is we now have our brewery venue established on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (Brookvale) and our brand new brewhouse is due to land and be installed in March.
Our head brewer Brooks Caretta has joined the group having spent many years wandering the globe in true Nomad style, working as the head brewer first for the Birreria project at Eataly New York and more recently (2012) for the opening of the same project at Eataly Rome.
The journey for us has just begun, but as any good nomad we look forward to the adventures the future has in store and the long journey ahead.
